Dr. Place, a dedicated practitioner in the field of reproductive medicine, recently joined Mid-Iowa Fertility in the summer of 2022, bringing a fresh perspective and valuable expertise to the practice. Dr. Place's educational journey is impressive and diverse. He initiated his academic pursuits at the University of Iowa, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biological Sciences and later a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Building on this foundation, he attended the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine for his medical degree. Subsequently, he returned to the University of Iowa to complete his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, earning recognition for his dedication to patient care and excellence as a laparoscopic surgeon.
